Partner and Company History
Kelly-Schulte Business Valuations, LLC is a new dynamic company bringing two professional women with years of experience in accounting, finance and banking together in a new endeavor. Cindy Kelly and Kathy Schulte are both members in good standing with the National Association of Valuators and Analysts (NACVA), a professional international organization with a current membership of approximately 6,000. NACVA members adhere to a strict code of ethics and professional standards.
Cindy Kelly, CPA, CVA has been engaged in the accounting business for 35-years and brings a vast knowledge of taxation, general accounting, business structure and has provided service as an expert witness in litigation cases.
Kathy Schulte, CVA has been working in the banking industry as a commercial lender for 25-years and brings her experience and skillset of banking regulations, bank underwriting, ratio analysis that have all transferred to create a good foundation for her current endeavor as a certified valuation analyst.
Cindy and Kathy are passionate about bringing to the marketplace a quality product that will value your business interest objectively and provide you with a report that is accurate and defendable in any litigation.

Meet The Team
Kathy M. Schulte
Kathy received her bachelors of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis on finance from University of Montana. Over the past 25-years she has worked in the banking industry as a Business Banker/Commercial Loan Officer. Throughout her career in finance, she was privileged with assisting hundreds of customers to achieve their business goals through new acquisitions, expansions and growth. Prior to her work as a lender, she was involved with training Realtors in Finance as a Certified Instructor for the State of Montana and taught two "200" level real estate courses as a Visiting Instructor for the University of Montana. Throughout the years, she has taught various business seminars to include "Managing your Business", Scalability of your Business" and "Networking for Results."
In addition to her lending career, she has been very active in the Missoula business community. She served as president of the Rotary Club of Missoula in 2010. Over the past 5-years, she has traveled to Denver to facilitate a multi-state training of President-elects of various Rotary clubs throughout the region. In 2005 she served as president of the Missoula Business Women's Network. During her year as president, she organized the First Symposium that has since become an annual event celebrating its 12th year this past January 2017. She is currently serving as Board President of a non-profit corporation, Kilkenny Corporation that oversees the management of a 41-Unit Low-income senior housing project and has taken on the role of Club Secretary for the Missoula Rotary Club.
She is married to Bob Schulte and has two married grown children with four amazing grandchildren. She enjoys playing her guitar, reading and hiking. She recently published a book of inspirational messages that is now available on Amazon.
Cindy Kelly CPA, CVA is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Valuation Analyst. Cindy graduated from the University of Montana with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. She obtained her license with one sitting for the CPA exam. Cindy has decades of experience in tax, litigation support, business advisory services, and as a chief financial officer.
Cindy began her career in public accounting where she quickly advanced to an ownership position in a CPA firm with 60 total employees. It was the largest office in the state of Montana. During that time Cindy specialized in many areas of tax and managed a diverse client base to include banks, consolidated groups, auto dealerships, real estate development, oil and gas drilling partnerships, manufacturing, medical clinics and practices, and law firms. She also specialized in litigation support as an expert witness in large contract damage cases, personal injury, and marital dissolution. She also managed the tax team representing ½ of the firm’s volume in revenue. This included hiring, training, internal procedures, writing and teaching tax classes, quality control, and department profitability.
After many years in public accounting, Cindy was asked to join a national company with gross revenues ultimately exceeding $200,000,000. She directed the conversion of the financial statements of 12+ companies from Quickbooks to Microsoft SL Dynamics. She built an accounting team, developed internal controls, all related procedures for accounting, payroll, fiscal employer agent activities, accounts payable, management of cash and the line of credit, Medicaid authorizations, and data entry. At one point, her staff count approximated 100 people. She also had full oversight of all tax planning and compliance, entity selection, tax audits, spin-offs, a company sale, and a tax free organization to move 19 brother/sister companies into a QSUB controlled group.
Striving for work-life balance, Cindy is now contracted with PJS & Co. CPAS to provide business advisory and tax services. In addition to this role, Cindy is a Virtual CFO for small growing businesses, and provides litigation support services. She is also a 51% owner in Kelly-Schulte Business Valuations, LLC. This is a start-up company providing valuations for SBA loans, succession planning, etc.
Cindy is a member of AICPA, the Montana Society of CPAS, and the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.
